Well! I finally had the time to do a look with it and I present to you! THE TERMINATOOOOOR *echo*

Autumn <3

fullsizeoutput_333

I recently discovered my love for autumn, the colors, the rain…. Halloween … am I right? So yesterday I felt the Autumn hit me right in the face, the leaves are changing colours and falling off the trees, the wind is picking up and it’s been raining non stop for a week. I’m not a big fan of the weather changes but I kind of secretly love them. When it’s summer I can’t stand the heat, in winter I cant deal with the cold, so spring and autumn are my preferred seasons. In honour of this slap in the face I wanted to do a Autumnal makeup look with some interesting access pieces. Keep in mind that I used a eyeshadow palette that I only use for sfx makeup because I really don’t like it, I just don’t  have the colors I need in other brands. It turned out great though.

SKIN

Moisturizer – Egyptian magic
Loréal – True match foundation 1.5.N Linen
MAC Mineralize concealer (not sure what colour)
Makeup store – Loose powder in pale
Makeup store- brow pomade in brunette
Kryolan Lip ‘N cheek -Hibiscus
MAC Lipstick- Antique Velvet
MAC Lipstick – Pure Vanity
MAC Lip and cheek colour – Blind Score
Rose cheek pop blush in coral
MAC eyeliner pencil – Smolder
Rhinestones

EYES

MAC Paint Pot – Bare Study
NN Cosmetics Palette- Yellow #1,2 & 4/ Orange #1, 2, 3 & 4/ Green #1 &5/ Red #6
Morphe 35N – #31
AOA False Lashes – Luella
Maybelline eyeliner pencil – Vibrant gold
Lorèal false lash superstar mascara

If you are confused by my palettes I go through them right HERE

fullsizeoutput_335

I started with my foundation which is what I always do unless I’m using very dark colours or glitter, I used a dry Real Techniques complexion sponge to pat my foundation on my skin,

then I used the Mac concealer on problem areas and under my eyes. Next I patted the Kryolan lip and cheek product on my lips and cheeks *haha* with my fingers,

then I filled in my brows and set my foundation with the powder.

Next I did the eyes, I started by blending my paint pot all the way towards my brows then I used the orange shades in my NN palette to shade the eyes, lightest shade in my tear duct, medium shade on my lid and the darkest one in the outer corner and blended in the crease, to darken it a little bit more I used the dark maroon #35 shade in my my morphe palette. I mixed the yellow #2 and the orange #2 & #3 to do my under eye. Then I lined my waterline with the gold eyeliner and applied mascara and Lashes.

fullsizeoutput_337

Believe you me! We are not done here!

If you don’t know me well, then I’m sorry for you, I’m great…but in all seriousness I am a bit too extra…as if the shimmery orange makeup wasn’t enough I needed something MORE! Thats where the rhinestones come in hand. I glued them on my eyebrows with duo eyelash glue, I tried to arrange them in such a way that they looked like they were going in a spiral around my brows, This took a while to do and it is a bit of a fuss but it is slaaaaying!
Then I did my lips, first I mixed the pale peach colour (Pure vanity) from my MAC Vibe Tribe collection and a tiny dot of the MAC Antique Velvet together, just to darken it a tiny bit and applied on my lips, then I went in with my deep purple MAC lip and cheek colour, I wanted a faded look on that, so I concentrated on having the colour opaque in the middle and then feathered it out towards the edges.
Now to the accent pieces…no the spiral rhinestones weren’t enough! OK! I wanted something more autumnal, I was really happy with my look but I just wanted more arty feel to it. I tried to draw on myself but it turns out that I’m not so good at drawing. So I asked Adam to draw the outlines of leafs on my chest and neck, after that I smudged the outlines and filled in the leafs with mixes of the colours that I listed above.

That is all for today, Hope you enjoyed this look, Let me know what your favourite things about autumn are and if you’d like to see something specific let me know 🙂

Marble Eyeshadow <3

Hey Kids!

Well don’t I have a treat for you guys? I tried to do a marbled eyeshadow look, It didn’t go as well as I hoped but I am still impressed with how cool it looks! I do want to warn you thought, It is very time consuming, and you have to just let the small things go, I did the glittery eye first, and I took so long to do it I wasn’t going to do the other one, but I was running late and I didn’t want to take my makeup off, so I just went for it and did a much quicker version of the first eye. This isn’t an everyday look, but my gosh does it turn some heads!

MOOD Makeup School | Week #7

Hey you! How you doing?

I am doing so well at the moment, I had such a great week! Not only at MOOD but also just in general. I got offered to help my friend Sandra María, you can click on the link and see her website www.sandramaria.is , with a project for a short film, I am sooo nervous but also extremely excited for this! I will be working either 2 days or 3 days I am not a 100% sure yet but I know I will be working on the 17th of october and the 27th 😀 soo happy! But right now I am going to focus on the great week I had, Im so sad there’s only 1 week left of school now :/

Monday – Drag
I modelled for the drag look Diego taught us, it was sooo much fun! We got to play with colours and glue, and its strangely fun to be done up in drag! I couldn’t find a partner to do my makeup that day so Diego told me to try to do the other half of my face the same as he did, He seemed to be impressed by my side of the face, and I think I did a great job mimicking what he did.

Tuesday – Drag
Modelling session of the week and our last day with our brother Diego! All of us got some boys to model for us and of course I dragged Adam in to it, he was a little scared of it the first time I asked him to do it, but as the day was getting near he started to get excited, and I actually think he looks really good as a DragQueen! He tried on a few wigs and he was loving the look, from what me and the girls were chatting about all of the boys did a great job at modelling and most, if not all of them loved to be done in drag 😀

Wednesday – Guest Teacher
Elín, well what can I say? Elín Likes is a very popular snapchat star in Iceland, and she is our guest teacher, she showed us a soft glam look, which btw looked awesome! and she was very friendly and chatty to us! Again everyone else had paired up already so I was allowed to do my own makeup …. OR I could have Elín as a model … Now I am a stressed out nervous wreck already … but when I have to do someone’s makeup who is alot more experienced than me … I kind of freak out and don’t do a great job! But when she offered to be my model … I took it … why ? How often do you get the chance to do Elín Likes makeup? …. almost never! Now there were a few things I could have done better ( like it is with everyone who is learning) I just take the criticism and write down what could have gone better! The look doesn’t suck, Im proud of it, just a few little tweaks that would have made it better 🙂 oh yeah sorry about the shit quality pictures … the Diva Ring Light broke during class!

Thursday – Guest Teacher
Elín taught us again, and again we had a blast! she showed us a coloured look with glitter tears, whiiich was preeeetty freaking lovely! The look she did was really cool, I actually dont have any good coloured eyeshadows so I had to use my shitty NN palette, needless to say I won’t be using that on anyone else than me from now on, I seem to be able to control the fallout better on myself than someone else haha! But I did a 60’s inspired look with blue colours and glitters 🙂

That’s it for week #7 of MOOD Makeup School, I don’t want this to end! just one week left + finals and Im a Makeup artist (if I pass my tests)

MOOD Makeup School | Week #4

LIFE UPDATE : I am moving house so I don’t have internet yet, and I really don’t know when I will have it! So blog posts and videos might not go live at the correct time 😦

Monday – Lips | different shapes
I was sick on monday so I decided not to go to school but I did ask the girls to show me their notes so I think im going to be fine! Im pissed that I had to miss it but I was way too ill to be going anywhere!

Tuesday – Adult Skin Men & Women + Model Session
This was probably my favourite day of the week, I did enjoy the other ones as well, but this one was really something special. We started with a little chat about the kind of makeup we were doing, and we learned how to do it properly. My auntie Linda and her husband Georg came and modelled for me! thanks you guys! And like every day they were looking like stars! I really enjoyed this class because we were not just doing women, but men too! Of course we did subtle makeup on the men but made sure it was HD TV ready!

Wednesday – Smokey
I have never been that great at doing dark smokey looks, but I think I did a good job on these two! We requested at the beginning of the school to learn classic smokey and Halo Smokey, so the teachers decided to teach us both methods even tho we only had 1 class of smokey. So we had to improvise a little bit, since we usually only have time for 1 lecture and 1 makeup look, we did classic smokey on one side and halo smokey on the other. This time I had Hjördís as a model, and a funny thing were both studying the same thing at college! I cant believe I did such a good job at this! Well at least I think I did a good job haha, I just really like both eyes!

Thursday – Model Session | Smokey + Wedding + Hair
I have to say I was a bit confused to what this was supposed to be, we didn’t get any clear answers to what we were supposed to do, some of us thought we were supposed to do 2 looks and others thought we were supposed to do a smokey bridal look. I just did a dark smokey with an easy as hell hairstyle! I feel like I could have done it a little bit better but there is always room for improvement! I was also very stressed because we had a new teacher that I didn’t know and that scares me a little hahah ( Helen was really nice tho!)

All in all I am happy with this week 🙂

MOOD Makeup School | Week #3

Happy Sunday peeps!

Happy girl over here right now! I found out that I am moving with Jökull closer to all the service that he requires so I am THRILLED! no more 30 minute drives i the morning and evening! Now I will be able to walk him to school and oh my god I save so much money on petrol!
But the Sunday posts aren’t about that now are they? I have another update on my makeup School journey today. I can’t tell you how happy I am at that school, my group is awesome and the teachers are amazing! I have been learning so much that I didn’t know before and I have started to love other textures than matte! So this is my week in a very short summarisation.

Monday – Bridal
Our first and only session about bridal makeup, I wish we had atleas 1-2 more because this is makeup where you really need to pamper your client, the skin needs to be perfect and the eye makeup needs to be immaculate. I just felt like one class wasn’t enough. I had a new fellow student as a model, Harpa (not the teacher) and we  kind of killed it, I had a little bit of trouble with the techniques required but I usually can wiggle my way out of a situation like that and I did a good job.

Tuesday & Wednesday – Hairstyles
Well this is a field of landmines where I should not be walking, because I just can’t do hair! I did manage to educate myself on hair products and how to use hair appliances but I seriously didn’t know what the hell I was doing when it came to hairdo’s  and felt very very bad about myself for a hot minute haha! But I managed to pull through in the end with a little guidance from our teacher Fía! Thank god for her! So I guess I am a little more confident in the hair department, but I don’t think I will pursue a career as a hair stylist anytime soon!

Thursday – Model Session | Bridal + hair
Ok so, usually I am pretty nervous during my modelling sessions… but this time I wanted to quit and go home! I was so nervous because my model Sandra is a makeup artist, a good one as well … CRAP! ….. and I was a model for her once … and I was doing bridal makeup AND HAIR! …. two things that Im not very confident doing! But I pulled through, It’s definitely not my best work but I am really happy with it non the less, I was doing categories that I really am not great at and I did my best, thats all I can do while Im still learning and practicing. The things I will change next time is that I would apply more eyeliner and do better work on the skin, I only have the basic skincare stuff in my kit at the moment, next time I will take more care of the appearance of the skin and have the eyeliner better. But I really am happy with it, it looks natural, sweet, and a bit 50’s with the little hair swoop!

So that is my third week of MOOD MAKEUP SCHOOL! I cannot believe that I am almost half way through! and I have never skipped a class or been sick, Im very proud of myself at the moment, life is really good right now and I want it to stay like this! Only 5 weeks until I get my diploma now and I can’t wait! but I do have 2 tests at the end and I need to prepare a sketchbook eek! If you have any ideas for me that would be really appreciated!

Hope you have a lovely Sunday and I will see you on Tuesday with a new blog post 😉 see ya then!

xoxo Ágústa Sif

The Colour Series | Purple

Hello again!

I’ve been so busy for the last 3 weeks at both schools and home, that I have had difficulties finding time to do makeup looks to do for the blog, but since I started it I don’t want to just give up, so I make time to do things whenever I can.
Today is the 5th look of the colour series tag and it is purple time. I however didn’t feel like doing a bright lilac or purple look, I wanted to do something dark, vampy and use dark plum colours for it. I want to remind you that I have changed my foundation routine, and I have filmed a video for it, that I will upload next Tuesday and write a detailed blog about it as well.

All the products I used for my eyes are linked down below and there is also a video! It would be awesome if you checked out my Youtube channel HERE and subscribed 🙂 you can also find me on Instagram & Twitter @itsagustasif

Third day of the Colour series Tag! YAY

Hi guys and welcome back, today we’re working with green! I have always loved using green colours in makeup, and when I plan to do very colourful makeup looks I often end up using a green colour! It’s not my favourite colour so I don’t really know why I choose it so often. Unlike the last post this one will be a more wearable look with a few little doodles. I didnt want this look to be smokey at all so there is not much blending going on at all, but it is oh so pretty. If you´re curious about my foundation routine I have a separate blog on that 🙂

MOOD | Week #1 & Starter Kit

Hi you guys!

So I wanted to share with you what I got for my Makeup School starter kit and also tell you a little bit how my first week was.
mood_logo22-300x219
If you have read my blog you will know I am going to MOOD makeup school in Iceland, I am taking the evening course because I am also attending another school during the day. IMG_1148The school was founded in 2011 so it is a relatively new one, but has been a very popular school since it was founded. They also have relations with MAC Cosmetics and teaches by using their products.
My first day was Monday the 29th of august, I don’t think I’ve ever been this anxious in
quite a while, I was thinking about not going but my sister called me and persuaded me to go. We just learned a little bit about the school and our teacher Harpa, she is such an amazing teacher and a wonderful warm girl, she works mostly in advertisements and TV.
We also told everyone in our group who we were and why we wanted to study at MOOD. Then we got our kits which included everything on this list except the concealers which we got the night after.
MOOD Starter Kit:
° Leopard Suitcase.
° MAC Pro Eye Makeup Remover.
° MAC Duo Sided Sharpener.
° MAC Studio Moisture Cream.
° MAC Matchmaster Foundation – 1.5
° MAC Matchmaster Foundation – 4.0
° L.A Girl Pro Concealer – Porcelain.
°L.A Girl Pro Concealer – Natural.
° MAC Matte Bronzing Powder.
° MAC Pressed Blot Powder – Medium.
° MAC Pro Longwear Blush – Blush All Day.
° MAC Paint Pot – Painterly.
° MAC Eyeshadow Palette – x15 / Cool Neutral ( Flounce, Sweet Allure, Sun Tweaked, After Dusk, Blackberry, Pick Me Up, Cozy Grey, Crushed Clove, Deception, Brun, Silver Fog, French Clay, Cumulus, Pearled Earth, Black Tied ).
° MAC Zoom Lash Mascara – Zoomblack.
° MAC Pro Longwear Fluidline – Blacktrack.
° MAC Lipstick – Blankety.
° MAC Lipstick – Russian Red.
° MAC Lipliner – Whirl.
° MAC Lipliner – Cherry.
° MAC Eye Kohl – Teddy.
° MAC Eye Kohl – Smolder.
° MAC Brush #130
° MAC Brush #168
° MAC Brush #224
° MAC Brush #239
° MAC Brush #208
° MAC Brush #210
° MAC Brush #316

Second day was a lot better, I wasn’t as anxious to go there as I was the day before. I learned a little about the skin types and how to prep the skin before makeup application, we got our concealers today. Harpa also used one girl of the group as a model to show us how to apply foundation, shading with bronzer and blush. Then we worked in pairs to practice what we just learned, Me and Eva modeled for each other and I was so nervous because I had never done anyones makeup who didn’t have the same skin colour as I did (Eva is Vietnamese, moved to Iceland and then moved to Denmark), when we finished we decided to do a little eyeshadow practice as well even though we were just learning about the basic skin routines. It was a lot of fun and I don’t know why I was so worried about screwing her makeup up, but she looked stunning! We did a great job on each other and learned a lot.

Third day was really easy for me because I was working on my own makeup so I didn’t have IMG_1163to worry about making someone else look weird! We learned more about basic skincare and basic foundation routine, as well as basic eye shading. Once I finished I was allowed to go and the teacher thought I did a good job!
On the fourth day I was a little more nervous beause I knew I would have a new model, with
a new skin type/colour and eye shape.
We also got a new teacher Þóra who is equally as lovely as Harpa. Þóra works at the theatre and does fashion shows in Scandinavia.
She taught us, eye shading an how to apply eyeliner.
I got paired with Sunna who is actually studying hair at the same school Im at. I was really happy with the look I did on her, the teacher liked it also, although I could have done more shading underneath the eye.
IMG_1170That is my first week of MOOD Makeup School I only go there 4 nights a week, which is both nice and sad haha, Nice because I have more time for my family for one extra day, sad because I just want to be there all the time! I love it there!
Hope you liked this blog post, if you did like share and whatnot 🙂 also check out my social media for more updates 🙂
